ARMIN, a chapelry in Snaith parish, W. R. Yorkshire; at the confluence of the Aire and the Ouse, 1½ mile NW of Goole r. station. It has a post office under Howden. Acres, 3,660. Real property, £5,780. Pop., 557. Houses, 117. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of York. Value, £74. Patrons,Heber Percy, Esq., and G. L. Yarburgh, Esq. The church had a chantry.

Armin, a chapelry in the parish of Snaith, union of Goole, west riding of Yorkshire; 6 miles east from Snaith, and 2 north from Goole; on the river Ouse. Living, a curacy in the archd. and dio. of York; rated at £7, and in the parliamentary returns at £33 12s. 9d.; gross income £83. Patrons, in 1835, the earl of Beverley and N. E. Yarburgh, Esq. There are two infant schools and a day school here. Pop., in 1801, 391; in 1831, 567. Houses 96. Acres 3,660. A. P. £4,742. Poor rates, in 1837, £296.
