Snow Hill Station The Foresters’ Guide to Birmingham and Its Neighbourhood 1883
This station for the lines belonging to the Great Western Company is in Snow Hill and Livery Street, and is now a commodious and good station. Persons arriving by this line, and passing along New Edmund Street, will see some admirable examples of street architecture, of which may be specially mentioned the Medical Institute, the School Board Offices, and the Parish Offices (now in course of erection). If they cross Colmore Row directly opposite is The Great Western Arcade.
