BUCKLAND, a parish in Reigate district, Surrey; on the Reading and Reigate railway, ½ a mile ESE of Betchworth station, and 2 W of Reigate. It has a post office under Reigate. Acres, 1,744. Real property, £2,710. Pop., 369. Houses, 61. The property is divided among a few.

Buckland House is a chief residence. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Winchester. Value, £337. Patron, All-Souls College, Oxford. The church was rebuilt in 1860. Spencer, the biographer of Archbishop Chicheley, was rector.
