Acres, 1,283; of which 20 are water. Real property, £2,805. Pop., 346. Houses, 77. The property is divided among a few.
The living is a rectory, annexed to Goldhanger. The church is Norman.
There are free and national schools.

TOTHAM, LITTLE (All Saints), a parish, in the union of Maldon, hundred of Thurstable, N. division of Essex, 3½ miles (N. E.) from Maldon; containing 384 inhabitants.
This parish is on the shore of Blackwater bay, and comprises 1200 acres, of which 200 are common or waste; the situation is low and uninviting, and the soil light and gravelly. Some salt-works are carried on in a creek of the Blackwater.
The living is a rectory, in the patronage of the Rev. Thomas Leigh: the tithes have been commuted for £366, and the glebe comprises 6 acres. The church is a small ancient edifice, with a tower of flint and stone, surmounted by a spire.
