Note. – For the other Marriage entries, 1686-1812, see Vol. VII, p. 149.  It may also here be noted that for the parish of Lasborough there are no transcripts at Gloucester.  The earliest separate register for Lasborough only commences 1827.  Some earlier entries will be found in the registers of Weston Birt and other neighbouring parishes, but these are very incomplete, as e.g., the burial of Sir Thomas Estcourt, knt., at Lasborough in 1624 is entirely unrecorded, and also that of his wife, Dame Mary Estcourt, nee Savage, in 1646.  Their tomb (Atkyns’ Present State of Gloucestershire, p. 276.) was removed to the parish church of Shipton Moyne, where Lee says he was buried, but erroneously, because there is no entry of his burial in the register there, and by his will he directed his body to be buried at Lasborough.  If the entries concerning such important people were unrecorded, it is likely that many other entries were similarly omitted.  In the Weston Birt Marriages, Vol. VI, pp. 149-155, only 6 persons are designated as of Lasborough, and in those of Beverston 3 persons, Vol. VI, pp. 13, 22, and 25 (Bowldown).  Many Owlpen Marriages will be found under Newington Bagpath, but none for Lasborough.  Perhaps they are to be looked for at Leighterton and Ozleworth?
According to the Bishop’s Transcripts, the following errata occur in Newington Bagpath Register :-

Vol. VII, p. 150, line 10 (1690), for Horder, read Holder.
Vol. VII, p. 150, line 11, for Pore, read Pope.
