Weston Point Christ Church opened in 1841 as a chapel to Runcorn All Saints parish, created as an Ecclesiastical Parish in the county of Cheshire in 1842 from Runcorn Ancient Parish. The parish of Weston Point Christ Church was transferred to Runcorn Weston St John in 1930.
