Northwich Holy Trinity, opened in 1842 as a chapel of Witton parish (also known as Northwich St Helen), became an Ecclesiastical Parish in Cheshire in 1929, formed from the township of Castle Northwich within Witton Ecclesiastical Parish and Hartford Ecclesiastical Parish.
