The area of the parish is 13,911 acres; and the population in 1901 was 2,243, of whom 1,223 persons are in the ecclesiastical district of Hope. The three Welsh townships of Leighton, Trelystan, and Rhos-goch, with 3,800 acres not included above, were separated and formed into an ecclesiastical parish in 1853 under a Vicar, the Rector of Worthen remaining Rector of these townships.
