NEATISHEAD, a village and a parish in Tunstead district, Norfolk. The village stands 1 ½ mile N of the river Bure, and 10 NE of Norwich r. station; and has a post-office under Norwich. The parish comprises 1,905 acres. Real property, £3,799. Pop. in 1851, 731; in 1861, 580. Houses, 142. The property is divided among a few. The manor belongs to the Bishop of Norwich. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £200. Patron, the Bishop of Norwich. The church is ancient, in fair condition; and a gallery was erected in it in 1840. There are a Baptist chapel, a national school, and charities £58.
