Cynwyd Merionethshire Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales Circa 1870

Cynwyd, a chapelry in Gwyddelwern parish, Merioneth; on the line of the Corwen railway, 2 miles N of Corwen, and 8 SSW of Ruthin r. station. It contains the townships of Cynwyd-fawr and Cynwyd-fechan, and has a post-office under Corwen, and fairs on 6 Aug. and 21 Oct. Statistics, with the parish. The living is a p. curacy, annexed to the rectory of Llangar, in the diocese of St. Asaph.
