Budley is situated near the mouth of the river Otter. It is a very small place, but has a weekly market, which is holden on Monday.
Tidwell is in Budley parish. Here is a pond, or pool, fed by springs, that are continually bubbling up, and so warm, that, when all the neighbouring springs are frozen, these are not.
