Abenbury Vawr Lewis Topographical Dictionary of Wales 1845

Abenbury-Vawr, a township, in the parish and union of Wrexham, hundred of Bromfield, county of Denbigh, North Wales, 3 miles (N.N.W.) from Wrexham; containing 181 inhabitants. This township separately supports its own poor, according to an arrangement made in March, 1830, and its annual value has been returned at £1386.
